We actually had an individual drive from 35 miles away to participate in the car wash. She found out our location on the website! The Wash is a great way for linking neighboring community members in the fight for the unborn population! Thanks for sharing your vision.

There recently was a large house donated to our Rockford Area Pregnancy Care Center. They will be using this house to establish a maternity home for pregnant mothers who want to keep their babies, but have no where to live. Our $1,500 will be used to remodel the main bathroom in this home. There is no other maternity home of this type in our city, so this is exciting news!

Kids had great fun. When we started it was drizzling and overcast so we didn't get many actual cars washed but the girls advertising were receiving donations from people, at the traffic light, because most people just wanted to give there support for such a good cause.

We held a Dance for Life for middle school students on Friday evening before the car wash, which raised $306, plus many new baby items to donate to the center. It was a great 24 hours of teens for life!

This is Margaret from Ignite Catholic Youth Group in York, Pa reporting back from our Wash for Life. First of all, I have to tell you, our kids had a blast. They worked so hard but they all had a good time. The weather cleared up beautifully from early morning drizzle to a gorgeous fall day with blue skies and sunshine. (God even blessed our efforts) We had asked our prolife group and a rep from the Pregnancy Center to come and they set up a table with pamphlets and info on all the help that is available and set up the fetal models of the developing babies and gave out free lollipops with little feet on them. We also hung their banner near the street that shows a baby and it says "Choose Life".. One car came by and donated a whole bag of new baby clothes. Our rep from the Pregnancy Center was so impressed with the kids and thrilled to receive the donations. After we cleaned up, we brought the kids to our Youth Room at church and gave them pizza and ice cream for lunch.
