It was thrown together at the last minute, but the girls did a great job, and people were very supportive. The local AutoZone even donated over $40 worth of supplies to our car wash.

We pre-sold about $1000 in tickets and the rest came on the day with donations. We had many encouraging comments with the community very proud of all of the students working for a good cause. We washed three cars at a time and we had cars waiting the whole day. We were swamped, but with the grace of God we got through it.

For our first car wash it went very well. We had it at Ernie's General Store parking lot on Highway 88. At noon he brought us out a tray of sandwiches and told us to help ourselves to drinks, chips and gelato. Very supportive. It was a fun day.

It was a great effort for all area youth groups who wanted to be involved in our four locations. We raised $1083.00 It was great.

The Youth Ministry of Sacred Heart Church, Castleton, NY collected $400 at our Wash for Life (in the rain) to donate to Birthright of Albany. The Diocesan Newspaper gave us a full page and a half of coverage. We are looking forward to doing it again next year! Imagine what we could do in nice weather!!
