Wash for Life Team 06

Jonathan

Jonathan Tonkowich, Executive Director

I am a giant Boston Red Sox fan. I love sports. I play football, baseball, soccer, hockey, skiing, golf, and basketball. My dream job is to work for a professional sports team. My favorite thing to do is hang out with my friends, cracking jokes and enjoying each others company. I am always up for a bacon cheeseburger. My favorite joke is the Penguin Joke which I tell daily mostly because I get a kick out of it but partially to get on Ingrid and Hillary’s nerves! I have been involved with my church youth group, playing guitar for worship, leading Bible studies, and going on mission trips. I have lived all over the country (Florida, Connecticut, California, and Virginia). E-mail me: jonathan@washforlife.org

Ingrid

Ingrid Mitchell, Assistant Director

My name is Ingrid. I have just finished my undergraduate degree. I was born on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and lived in Ireland for seven years when I was little. My family is currently living in Ireland. I have six brothers and sisters, and a Siamese cat named Jazzpurr that thinks he’s a dog. My favorite thing to do is design and paint stage sets for plays. I was involved in drama and choir in High School. I have been teaching grades K-9 for four years as a part time job during College. Mostly I taught ninth graders history and science. I love sushi and watching College Basketball. E-mail me: ingrid@washforlife.org

Hillary

Hillary Rowney

Hillary was born near Yosemite National Park. She fishes and hikes, and danced and taught ballet for fourteen years. The team voted her most likely to be an LL Bean model and most likely to get eaten by a bear. Hillary has worked as a camp counselor, and she has gone to Mexico on mission work. While there, she helped build a house and ran a Vacation Bible School. Hillary has two cute little brothers, an older sister and lots of cousins. This year she will begin her junior year of college. Email her: hillary@washforlife.org

John

John Cunningham

I’m the oldest of ten kids. I keep reptiles (or fish or birds or weird bugs) when I have the chance; I play Irish music on the whistle and bodhran; I’ve played soccer since I was six and just started playing rugby; I’ve eaten strange food from street vendors around the world; I honk when I blow my nose. I can run and fight and spoil a story telling it. The plan for the future is to study aerospace engineering. Email me: john@washforlife.org

Briena

Briena Dunkel

I am from California, love swing dancing, hiking, playing jokes on friends, and ice cream. I also love adventure and travel and dream of going to Africa someday. I’ve already been all over the U.S. and Canada and spent some time in Europe (I’m definitely going back), but Africa… During my last two years of college I taught some high school courses part time and I plan to continue teaching. Email me: briena@washforlife.org

Henry

Henry Teichert

Henry was born in Washington D.C., and it shows. In the past few summers, he has worked for the White House and for Chuck Colson‘s Wilberforce Institute. His major interest is shaping his country to be pro-life and pro-family through lobbying, and maybe later in government. He is the eldest of eight, and his family has lived in sunny Ojai, California for most of his life. Henry is also a talented musician. While in high school he played the violin in symphony orchestra and was concert master. Not only was he concert master, but all of his many friends know he is the best D.J. around, often organizing and playing music for parties, dances, and weddings. Plans for the future include later pursuing international relations and government. Email him: henry@washforlife.org
